Miss Angel is one of Belgium’s leading female rappers/MCs. Today, the Antwerp native shares her highly anticipated debut album MISS’UNDERSTOOD. On Friday 18/10 she will present her record at AB Club.
On her first EPs, Miss left her private life out of the spotlight, now she turns the spotlights to herself. MISS’UNDERSTOOD is a personal story that gives insight into Miss Angel’s world: who she is, what she stands for and what she wants out of life. She is completely herself, flaws included. Without scruples and above all: with all the misconceptions of the job.
On MISS’UNDERSTOOD, Miss Angel gathers around her a talented group of featuring artists from home and abroad. Nice list, with guest contributions from Pink Siifu (US), K1D, Freddie Konings, Beckie (NL), Duggy D, Che and Deyvok. Musically, the album is a mix of known and new influences. Hard hitters as well as heartbreakers.
Miss Angel on her debut album: “The album was a long but interesting process. The writing had its ups & downs. Some tracks came smoothly and for others I really had to take my time because I open up a bit more – I’m not used to that. I worked with people who know me well and so we were able to fine tune the sound. There are both British and American influences in it, you can’t pigeonhole it. MISS’UNDERSTOOD is my baby, but it has become a project with an adult version of Miss Angel.”
