Antwerp-based and Kempen-raised, The Yummy Mouths have been ripening for some years as one of Belgium’s underground’s sweetest fruits. After releasing their debut EP ‘UGH!’ (2021), they gained national interest with their catchy guitars, hard-hitting drums and sticky hooks.

On their fantastic first record ‘Apopcalypse Park’ (released 14/02/2025), the Belgian band turns everything on its head, mutating from a garage punk band to a gutsy collage punk act. Challenging themselves in the studio, the trio (mostly) exchanges guitars for synthesizers and drum computers, with the help of producer Pieter-Jan Decraene (Sam De Nef, Isaac Roux, Jack Vamp). They boldly dip their toes in punk, electronic music, shoegaze and noise.

Apopcalypse Park is a dystopian fable about the roller coaster of adult life, each song representing an even darker and harsher universe than the last, and how the world – warming, fighting and greedy, has become a merry-go-round from which there is no escape. The band’s first album is out now on lovely red vinyl and on the usual digital channels. Enjoy!
