On 07/12, we’re co-hosting an intimate evening with LAB-T in Diest. We’re inviting the promising singer-songwriters Anna Maehl and Elis Floreen to Jeugdhuis Tijl.
Anna Maehl is a Danish songwriter, producer and composter who lived in Brussels until recently. She mixes minimalist pop, folk and DIY productions into sublime songs. Anna was a finalist of Studio Brussel’s De Nieuwe Lichting 2023. Her song ‘Youth song’ was later used in the well-known Flemish series ‘Knokke Off’.
Elis Floreen from Limburg (who’s currently living in Brussels, but who lived in Copenhagen for a while), creates a world of avant garde folk pop to get kist ub? Ger sings are telling and intimate, but danceable and exciting. She was also a finalist of Studio Brussel’s De Nieuwe Lichting, but in 2024.
Fun fact: the two ladies met in Copenhagen studying music and they’ve both lived in Brussels and Copenhagen.
