Hurray, it’s here! We’re very happy to announce Stoop Kid’s new album ‘Camp Careful’ as our first release.
Based out of Diest (Belgium), jangly indie rock band Stoop Kid started out as the home recording project of guitarist Jens Rubens (Ero Guro, Prince Beastly, Coma Commander) and evolved into a full live band late 2019. Right before the pandemic, Stoop Kid started playing its first live shows, including shows with bands like Portland, Meskerem Mees and Teen Creeps.
After two EP’s, Stoop Kid now releases their first full-length album ‘Camp Careful’, a jangly indie record fully created by Jens in the somewhat comforting reclusion of his home studio. Writing, learning new instruments, recording and mixing: Camp Careful is the first big batch of fruit of his home recording endeavour.
While Stoop Kid treats the world with care, various reflections, observations and wishes are thoughtfully tucked into this album. It covers themes like social anxiety, everlasting existential crises and generally feeling out of place all the time: heavy topics which contrast tuneful guitar riffs and the band’s sense of perspective.
