Sometimes you’re walking down the street and you find yourself wondering about the life choices of people passing by. Niels Tuijaerts (Koala Disco), Klaas Leyssen (The Yummy Mouths, TJE) and Jef Krieckemans (The Yummy Mouths, Lintworm) had the same thought and wrote a song about it. ‘Frakken Zonder Mouwen’ (or ‘Sleeveless Jackets’ in English) is a short but powerful post-punk track that does what philosophers should have done long ago: ask existential questions about the phenomenon of body warmers.
Sleeveless Jackets is the first track on Koala Disco’s new album. For this third release, Koala Disco mastermind Niels Tuijaerts pushes the boundaries of his own creativity and that of his peers. With the doors of his home studio wide open, Niels looks for ways to collaborate with well-known and lesser-known artists from our beloved Belgian music scene to create a unique project.
