The Yummy Mouths share sublime debut album Apopcalypse Park

The Yummy Mouths has been maturing for several years as one of the sweetest fruits of the Belgian underground. The band has been conquering souls with their raging and upbeat garage punk since 2019.

The trio from De Kempen already played support slots at Ancienne Belgique, stood on the stages of We Are Open and Left of The Dial and received airplay on Studio Brussel and Willy.

After releasing debut EP UGH! (2021), The Yummy Mouths gained national attention with their infectious guitars and excellent songs.

Today, the trio is ready for the big leagues with debut LP Apopcalypse Park. The band turns everything upside down by mutating from a garage punk band to a gutsy collage punk act.

Klaas, Cis and Jef challenged themselves in the studio and traded guitars (for the most part) for synthesizers and drum computers, with the help of producer Pieter-Jan Decraene (Sam De Nef, Isaac Roux, Jack Vamp). The result is a fantastically eclectic and daring debut album, exploring the boundaries of indie, electronic music, shoegaze, punk and noise. Give it a listen!

Apopcalypse Park is a dystopian fable about the roller coaster of adult life, each song representing an even darker and harsher universe than the last, and how the world – warming, fighting and greedy, has become a merry-go-round from which there is no escape.

Apopcalypse Park is out today on UhmYeahSure Records. You can buy the record on red vinyl and listen to it via the usual digital channels.
