Watch: British artpunk sensation DEADLETTER share video for single RELIEVED

There is no escaping DEADLETTER. The Yorkshire-based art punk band has been around since 2020 and is racing like a hurricane along stages in Britain and Europe. DEADLETTER clearly nurtures a love for Belgium: in 2022, the group played support act for labelbuddies Placebo at Sportpaleis, and last year DEADLETTER played eight (!) gigs on Belgian soil.

Today, the band shares the video for ‘Relieved’, the third single from their upcoming debut album ‘Hysterical Strength’ (September 13). The album was produced by the acclaimed Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele). Frontman Zac Lawrence drew inspiration for ‘Relieved’ from recognizable, uncomfortable situations. “Ever been collared by the most bizarre person in a smoking area and wondered how to escape? Too polite to simply turn your back on said oddball? Relieved is about this very British problem of over-minding one’s manners and the inability to remove oneself from an encounter that oozes discomfort,” says frontman Zac Lawrence.
