Remember Danny Blue? Of course you do! We’re super happy to welcome them to the UYS roster today.
Originally formed in high school as ‘Danny Blue and the Old Socks,’ the band gained early acclaim with their 2017 EP ‘Backyard Days’. After a five-year hiatus brought on by personal exploration and the pandemic, the group has reunited in its original four-piece lineup: Denis De Meester, Rint Mennes, Robin Declerck, and Sam De Nef.
Now called Danny Blue, the band has traded part of its name for a more focused identity. Their new sound blends shoegaze and grunge catharsis with their signature catchy indie-rock songwriting. While the textures are dreamy yet gritty, the lyrics delve deeper into personal relationships and the complexities of modern life. Ultimately, Danny Blue remains a testament to the power of friendship, the driving force behind their reinvention.
